National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Honeywell International, Inc, Phoenix, AZ, Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle Program, Program Management and Systems Engineering Support Services Contract
America will send a new generation of explorers to the moon aboard NASA’s Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle. Planned to make its first flights to the International Space Station in 2014, Orion is part of the Constellation Program to send human explorers back to the moon, and then onward to Mars and other destinations in the solar system.
LS Gallegos teamed with Lewis and Fowler, LLC as a sub consultant to Honeywell International, Inc is providing:
Program management and systems engineering support - Project management
- Performance based reporting
- Cost control
- Schedule control
Quality control services in support of the Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle Program:
- Design
- Assembly
- Testing of components systems
LS Gallegos was awarded this contract as part of a NASA initiative to involve small businesses in the multi-billion dollar Orion program through a competitive small business selection process.
