City of Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Traffic Management Center, Preliminary and Final Engineering Consultant Contract
The City of Chicago is expanding the capabilities of its Traffic Management Center Facility to house many of the City’s key transportation agency personnel responsible for traffic management and operations.
City transportation personnel will control:
- City traffic signals
- View incident and special event traffic situations
- Coordinate timely and accurate traffic information to emergency personnel, city agencies and travelers
All from within the facility.
LS Gallegos is providing systems engineering/architecture support to assess and define overall computer subsystems requirements including:
Data Acquisition- Data Validation
- Data Storage
- Data Analysis
- Data Distribution
- Systems Administration and Graphical User Interface
LSG is assisting with final systems design, implementation, testing and start-up of the newly expanded Traffic Management Center facility. LSG is providing, on-site project administration support including project scheduling, progress reporting, document control and project coordination.
